"For the Love of Mom, For the Love of Westwood" Mural and Mini-Grant Campaign

Westwood Works is excited to announce a new and unique way to show your love of Mom and Westwood! Support our soon-to-be-painted We Can All Grow Here mural by local artist Ashton Moon, which will replace the existing mural on the side of W. Bar & Bistro. This mural encapsulates the spirit of our community, where we all come together to nurture, care, and grow in Westwood. This campaign will not only be a focal point in our community, but contributions will directly impact the much-loved mini-grant program.

How does it work?

When you purchase a mural flower or letter for $50, your support will directly fund the creation of the We Can All Grow Here mural by Ashton Moon and also contribute to our mini-grant program, which supports neighbor-led projects in Westwood. Learn more about mini-grants here.

Your recipient will have a:

  1. Mural Flower or Letter in their honor
  2. Named on a Plaque on the Mural
  3. Invitation to the Unveiling of the Mural (date TBD)
  4. An actual flower bundle from Frond (if you choose the upgrade option)

About the Artist

Ashton Moon

Ashton Moon is a 27-year-old artist who lives in Cincinnati with her husband and son. Originally from West Michigan, she moved to the area 6 years ago and has been amazed by the community’s support and enthusiasm for artists ever since. Ashton’s work is heavily inspired by the flowers she grows in her garden, and she even incorporates some of them into jewelry in her free time.

Floral Partner

Frond

FROND, located at 3126 Harrison Avenue, is inspired by founder Jackie Frondorf’s grandma’s house, which was always filled to the brim with over a hundred plants. From the owners: “We’ve grown up surrounded by plants, and we want to offer that same happiness to everyone in our community.

“The Frondorf family has planted roots in Westwood and we are happy to get your roots started here, too. We are proud and delighted to support the mural and mini-grant campaign, and can’t wait to see you in Westwood and at Frond!”
